Ideas for a Spooktacular Halloween Date Night
Trick-or-treating and costume parties aren’t for everyone. In fact, sometimes a holiday is the perfect excuse to make an evening in the middle of the week all about you and a loved one or significant other. Treat yourself and a date to a special night! Stay in your apartment at The Mansions at Lakeway or head out into Texas for a fun evening. Try these spooktacular date night ideas!
Dinner and a Movie
This may not be every single person’s idea of the perfect date, but if you and your date enjoy movies, Halloween, and Halloween-themed movies, this fits the bill! With a host of movie options ranging from lighter options like Halloweentown, Practical Magic, Hocus Pocus, and It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown to more thrillingly gory horror films like The Conjuring, Trick r Treat, It, and more, you can choose just the right level of spooky you’re up for.
For a fun activity, make yourselves a bunch of Halloween-inspired appetizers and foods (also great for if you’re throwing a party) for adorably, frightfully delicious movie snacks. We particularly like the spicy orange bat wings and the roasted red pepper pumpkin deviled eggs!
Halloween Home Activities
The perk of a movie date or even other home activities is it still leaves the opportunity for you to answer the door for trick-or-treaters, if you’re up for it! Of course, you may not like having to stop your movie to get the door, so try another activity fitting for the season instead.
Carve pumpkins with your date, tell your best scary stories to each other, make last-minute costumes for each other based on the items in your home, or even play video games! Just be sure to put up some festive decorations to set the mood.
Of course, some people like to partake in the day’s events on a date. Head out of your apartment and visit a corn maze, hayride, haunted house, or carnival near you to get in on the fun. Don’t forget your costumes!
